Europa League short-summary (2)

Dear Readers, in my Europa League summary I write short statements about the games that were recently played in Europe‘s 2nd best international competition. I quite enjoy the Europa League because the matches take place on thursdays. Perfect preparation for the weekend. This time it´s all about the semi finals.

Eintracht Frankfurt-Chelsea (1-1)

The last international home game in Frankfurt this season. Another awesome choreo by their fans. Amazing atmosphere once again. Eintracht played amazing too in the first 30 minutes. Luka Jovic scored the opening goal in minute 23. He headed the ball into the far corner and Kepa did not have any chance. The match was very equal but Chelsea increased the pressure. Ruben Loftus-Cheek nearly made the equalicer. In the 45th minute he fighted for the ball, did some good dribbling and made a nice assist for Pedro who made it 1-1. Chelsea really wanted to turn the game around in the second half. They had 67% possession, more passes and more shots on target. All in all you can say that the Blues could have had a even better result for the second leg but it will definetly be interesting next week. 

Arsenal-Valencia (3-1)

Arsenal fight for a good form. The team of Unai Emery did not have a great run over the last couple of games in the Premier League and they started off this game with bad defendending as well. The Valencia player Diakhaby headed the ball in the goal after 11 minutes. He was surrounded by three Arsenal defenders but no one got close enough. But luckily for the home fans the answer did not take long. Mesut Özil started the attack by passing the ball to Lacazette who sent Aubameyang into a run. He turned in front of the goalkeeper and made a clever pass back to Lacazette. The french striker then put the ball over the line to equalize the game. This was the start of Arsenal playing solid football. Lacazette scored his second in the 25th minute and Aubameyang made the third goal in the 90th. Overall a deserved win for the gunners.
